“There was an increase in loyalty for Android and IOS in 2015-16 when it was level off for both operating systems .Loyalty can be high as we have ever seen from 85-90% at any point. These mobile operating systems are at that loyalty point. Now users can pick one, learn it, invest in apps and storage, and stick with it. Now users can pick one, learn it, invest in apps and storage, and stick with it. Apple and Google both companies have to know how to sell their products and services to these loyal customers now.”
Customers have access to a range of Smart Phones using Android. It explains why Android has a higher loyalty rate. However, Android devices are typically cheaper than iOS devices, and customers can afford them easily as compared to iOS.
CIRP pointed out
"We know that Android has a larger number of users than iOS, and because of this, the number of users that switch to iOS from Android is larger than the number of users that switch to Android from iOS. It claims that iOS gains more former Android users, than Android does former iOS users”
The loyalty rates and switch rates are not same. According to Report more customers are switching to iOS devices on a regular basis.
